This project begins to drive the flattening of ubiquitous desk-top items through a digital compression and the defaults of common office printing technologies. The Bankers Box exemplifies a specificity produced by flat packing that is able to physically and structurally contain typical office papers. This model of the Bankers Box is produced at full scale through a PDF made available for download. This reinforcement of the already flat flat-packing of the bankers box further condenses its total material into less than 50 8.5” by 11” sheets of paper, and it is easily transported through the compression of a digital PDF. With just a computer, a standard laser printer, Scotch tape, and a pair of scissors, those who wish to build their own Bankers Box can download the model and follow the instructions within.
